THESE stunning images offer the ultimate bird's eye view perspective of our planet. The photographs were taken by astronauts onboard the International Space Station over the course of 2013. The space-based snappers captured everything from erupting volcanoes to the breathtaking glaciers of Chile. One shot shows the super typhoon Haiyan, which was responsible for untold devastation and thousands of deaths, raging over Vietnam and China last month. Elsewhere, smoke from the West Fork complex fire that affected large areas of the San Juan and Rio Grande National Forests can be seen spewing out over Colorado.
